About

Set on the edge of the tiny village of Chamborigaud, in the Languedoc region, Chateau de Montjoie is a beautiful 16th Century castle built by Captain De Leyris.

The Chateau is nestled in a five-acre park in the Cevennes mountains and has the river Luech flowing along its boundary. It was built in 1575 and comprises three beautiful towers with turrets. The castle has retained all of its charm including its original features and the decor of the interiors has been carefully selected to marry the style of the Chateau perfectly.

There is a substantial terrace around the Chateau for dining, and set within the private grounds is a large heated outdoor swimming pool. The pool area with is fitted with cuisine d’ete, a terrace for BBQs and a changing room and WC.

The small village of Chamborigaud has a tennis court adjacent to the Chateau, shopping, bars and restaurants and has many beautiful walks and drives.  The area is renowned for its wild boar, chestnuts and mushrooms.

We take a great deal of pride in the Chateau and that is something our guests have always come to appreciate and as a result, do so frequently, want to return. It is a beautiful spot for escaping the mad rush of city living and to really recharge.  Almost everything you could possibly need or want to do on such a holiday is catered for and that is why our guests love it so much. From a three-week family vacation to private hire events and weddings; from meditation and yoga weeks to reunions of loved ones over the holiday seasons. Whatever the time of year or reason, Chateau De Montjoie will tick all the boxes!
